What is Information Marketing?

Information Marketing simply means creating and selling non-physical or digital Products that can be downloaded over the web/Internet. 

Digital product is anything you can deliver to people online.

Types Of Digital Products

Examples of digital product are e-books, audio, video, website template, newsletter, whatsApp training.

For several years before now, e-books are the only digital products that can be sold online but now there are several types of digital products format, e.g video tutorials, software products, add ons, smartphone apps, Google calendar, stock photos, templates, audio files etc.

There are several options to choose from when deciding the format to make a digital product Most of the time it depends on your market research; here are some common examples: video tutorials, software products, add ons, smartphone apps, Google calendar stock photos, templates, kindle books, audio file, e-books etc.

1. Recipes / hotel plan - If you are in the fitness and wellness niche, you can create a custom hotel plan that can range from a monthly subscription to a 1 time download offer.

2. Website Templates – Can you code website templates? Make one and sell, upload it to a download page, put your payment integration system that allows people to pay online and then drive traffic to the download page.

3. Paid Email newsletters – Is there something you want to share with your audience? make a paid email newsletter subscription which may range from a monthly subscription to a lifetime offer.

4. Paid WhatsApp status - Hearing this may be funny but I knew some people who pay a monthly subscription of about $10 and above to check some people’s private WhatsApp status. If you have something valuable and people have noticed your relevance on WhatsApp, you can have a paid subscription fee.

5. Membership website – Do you know something that can provide value to people? Make them pay for it! Pay a developer to create a website for you and allow them to have their own account on your website. Subscription might be monthly or just one off.

6. Paid series – You can begin a video series using YouTube or any video platform, and monetize it.

7. Paid phone session – There are people who charge for a call session, usually for consultation or mentorship. If you’ve got skills, you can build up your personal brand so people would buy consultation services. I am about to start that soon.

8. Audio - This is very common though but, once upon a time we used to buy music on Compact Disks, and now we buy digital audios.
